On Wednesday 16th June The Broxbourne School enjoyed a wonderful day of activity, sunshine and ice lollies! Pupils, teachers and support staff took to the field at various points throughout the day to complete their mile - many pupils achieving far more than just one mile!
After such a challenging year for all, it was fantastic to see year groups enjoying the outdoors together, smiling and working hard to contribute as many miles as possible! On this day we covered 1004 miles (1616 km)!!
Well done to all those who took part. Pupils and staff also enjoyed a non-school uniform day in ‘active wear’. I’m pleased to announce that we managed to raise £1073 For Isobel Hospice.
In addition to our ‘Broxbourne Gets Active’ day, parents and teachers have also been dusting off their trainers to walk, run or cycle to help Broxbourne complete their journey around the globe. In this section of our challenge we covered 1172 miles (1886 km). A special thank you to all the parents who have contributed to this.
As a school community we have covered 2176 miles (3502 km) in total! Well done all!
